Toucan Pathtag design submitted

Took me a week to design and tune but yesterday it all came together and this is the design that was submitted.

Now the waiting game : first the manufacturer will email the proposal for the blueprint. If that suits me then its off to the mint and another wait of 4-6 weeks.

Ordered 150 of these. They are the size of a €1.00 coin.

Klein Cafeetje

Today we did Klein Cafeetje, another multi from Zwanske and discovered an a part of Diepenbeek we did not know! Very rural! Felt like we were in another country.

Again an excellent setup.

Its not about the numbers

This arrived a few days ago. It is the very first coin I bought on Ebay.

Love it. First I intended to log it in every cache we've done so far but not sure if I can be bothered with all that.
Might do it while at work or might not.

Today again 2 envelopes in the mail. From Scotland and from Utah, US.
Geogophers fulfilled a pathtag wish and sent me the Lucky tag! LOVE IT!! Very clever design, beautyfull.

And a double surprise from GBOTS, 2 UTAH tags, this was my first copper tag, has a soft look to it

first muggled cache

Yesterday, we found a muggled cache De Grote Beemd. This was a first for us. Leaves a weird feeling, sort of violated.
It was an easy walk thru magnificient scenery! One of the waypoints stood middle in a witchescircle (mushrooms).

Enjoyed every minute of it eventhough the mistake I made at the very first point. I had left page 1 in the car since it only had the location of the parking/WP1. And started with the question which was for WP2 while we were still at WP1...
I called Zwanske on his cellphone and while we were talking I suddenly figured it out! DOH DOH DOH !

Anyway, Maurice aka Zwankse was very polite about it and so we continued.
Called him again about the muggled cache.

Smile, ur having fun! activated

Bought this off Ebay last week and it arrived to day. Its manufactered by Oakcoins.com . The smile is contagious, it made me smile and made my wife smile when I showed it to her.

Now its activated :-) It will sit on the cars' dashboard or in my pocket. If I forgot to put the tracking number in view email me a picture of the car showing the coin and the surroundings and I will send you the tracking number or discover it at hand.

Lots of things going on

As I went into the car I checked the mailbox... lots of international mail!! FOR ME !! 7 pathtags and 1 geocoin!
Randy, Julian, Elain, Dorothy, Bryan thank you all so very much for the tags!
Opened them all in the back of the car, then went back inside to get a piece of cord to hook them up. And then back to the car again.

First went to Een Brug te ver to check out Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head coin, nearly had an accident climbing out of there.
Then continued to Alden Biezen for the cache de Waterburcht. Halfway I discovered I didnt have my cellphone on me. Could I have lost it in in the tumble at the previous cache? Continued with the current cache and found Big Bird in the cache! This reminded me of a TB which had a little girls' puppet on it, but someone replaced it with a leapord skin CD holder, strangely enough. So I traded for the big bird, planning on hooking it up to the original TB which was still in a cache nearby.

After logging I hurried to the car to check if the phone was in there maybe. NOPE.

So went back to the first cache to check, sadly still no phone. On the way home I drove by Geocrime to hook up the big bird to the TB. Walked straight passed the location -.- only spotted it when backtracking to the car. The TB Merel was still there. And again I forgot to note the tracking number.

Back home and YES, the phone was on the kitchen table!! I forgot to take the damn thing with me. SO all's well that ends well.

Then we set off for Reeweg by Zwanske. SUCCESS. Found Robert's Travelling Personal Geocoin which is still logged in another cache.
A stressfull caching day.

Short resumé of the week

Last week we did St Gilliske, everything went well upto WP10 -which we knew was gone. Turns out we assumed the wrong color and guessed the wrong name. Which put us way off. Eventhough the hint was rather worrying ("at the base of the tree calling for a cache") it did do its job and we found the cache afterall! Enjoyed that walk very much, apart from the small stretch thru some dodgy neighborhood. Discovered new areas not far from home.

Then today I went out solo, not true, Jack (one of our Jack Russels) was with me. As I didnt have time to do a multi we hunted some traditionals nearby.
Found the first four with ease. Then went after the last one "Kapel of Burchttoren", spent half an hour climbing and searching to no avail.
This evening I want to log the DNF... cant find the cache???? Guess what : its been archived a month ago. I still had old data on my GPSr.

Dipped the TB in the Wijnkasteel cache, since the princess' request was to show her castles and chateaus to get ideas for rebuilding her own castle. With pictures of course.
Tomorrow we'll give the princess a tour in Alden Biezen, the biggest castle around here.
