back in style : 2 Zwanskes multis

The itch was bad, just had to get out and cache! Today was a beautyfull fall day! Nice and sunny so this morning we headed out to do Broekbeemd, one of Zwanskes multis, cant go wrong with this guy! And this one proved it again, lovely, relaxing walk in the woods, along the river Herk. Great walk, great multi, great fun.

Then back home for lunch and mawing the lawn for the (I hope) last time before winter. Sloeberke had a nap before she set off to the hairdresser. But before she dropped me off at the start of Flying Fortress Crashed, another Zwanskes multi.
I ve walked in this area before and we have picknicked in the woods of the final but again I discovered new areas.
Took me a while to find the cache tho. Poor signal in the woods, couldnt have done it without the spoiler and its not a spot you "just wander by".
Near the cache someone had dumped lots of chopped twigs and mowed grass against the hillside. As I walked over the piles of grass my foot went through it and my entire right leg sunk in upto my hip. Scary moment.

Another great multi from Zwanske.
Oh, and also my first ever pathtag spotting, the reason this cache was picked today, it was attached to a TB.

Pathtags.com

Stumbled upon Pathtags, which looks like a small geocoin, about the size of a US$ penny or a 1 Euro coin. They are either swag or can also be tracked at www.pathtags.com . The Pathtag community is overwelmingly welcoming and inviting. From the very first day people were asking my adress to send some pathtags, free, not even a trade since I currently dont have any pathtags, I have yet to come across a pathtag in a cache.

Of course i got carried away and designed my own pathtag. Then went thru the ordering routine only to realise there is insufficient funds on my PayPal account ! Will have to wait for the top up to be registered.

In the meanwhile Im browsing thru the designs, there are some gems amongst these pathtags.

feel the need

Its been a while since I went caching. Work and social life have taken up lots of my time and its starting to get to me.
Yesterday I spent 3 hours in the car, 3 hours for 100km, 3hours for 1 hour meeting... then another hour and a bit to get back home, resulting in a splitting headache and an early night.

This weekend I'm hoping to get out at least on saturday and perhaps a short walk sunday afternoon.

I feel the need to get out there !

Also yesterday I bought my first coin from Ebay : its not about the numbers.
Waiting for confirmation.

There's more than one aspect to caching

There's more than one aspect to caching. A child wants to hunt and see what "treasures" are inside. A numbers whore wants fast easy finds. A hiker wants a nice walk with views. Some folks want to be challenged mentally with puzzles, others hate them.

Came across this reply during yet another discussion about hiders feeling the need to lure finders with FTF prizes and certificates. This reply could be the quote to end all of such "about colors and flavors" discussions.
Let everybody enjoy caching the way they want to and if they feel they have to cheat or trick others, that's just one more reason not to put them on my Christmas card list.
